Vanessa has been a practising solicitor for over 24 years. Since her admission as a solicitor in 1999, she has always chosen to represent the interests of people over businesses and corporations. Vanessa believes that all people have a right to fair treatment when dealing with Police and Courts, when suffering relationship breakdown and when facing legal processes in the mental health spaces and gaols.
For over 20 years, Vanessa has been a formidable defence lawyer with Legal Aid NSW, advocating for the rights of some of the most vulnerable people in our community. Vanessa started her career as a civil and personal injury solicitor, passionately representing people who were injured by negligent employers, Councils and companies.

She represented thousands of people in individual claims and in class actions, helping people achieve maximum compensation for their injuries and loss of earnings.
Vanessa then practised as a DPP lawyer, assisting Courts in the administration of justice and supporting victims of crime through the criminal justice system. This prosecution experience makes Vanessa a more successful defence lawyer than most because she understands the legal obligations of police and prosecutors and can work professionally with and against them when representing your interests. Vanessa lives in the Wollondilly and bases her legal practice in Penrith and Picton but is available to represent you in matters across NSW and Australia.
